THE MILL SPARTANS

WHAT IS THE MILL SPARTAN TEAM?

The Mill Spartans are a group of like-minded people who want to challenge themselves mentally and physically.  They are part of a team who train for and compete in Spartan Races, a series of obstacle course races held around the midwest and all over the country.  But don’t worry!  You don’t have to be a super athlete to join! The Mill Spartans are all about improving their health and fitness, and working together as a community to support and encourage one another through training and competing.  Anyone of any age or fitness level is welcome!  Have questions or want to connect?  Let us know here.

HERE’S THE LATEST

Hey Mill Spartans! We are getting close to our race on Sept 20!  We have the following practices scheduled:
 
Saturday Aug 16, 9-11am
Thursday Aug 21, 5:30-7
Thursday Aug 28, 5:30-7
Thursday Sept 4, 5:30-7
Thursday Sept 11, 5:30-7
Monday Sept 15, 5:30-7
 
Practices will be structured like this:
1 hour 15 minutes Max
15 minutes of orientation and warmup
20 minutes of interval training
20 minutes of drills, strength or obstacle practice
10 minutes of core
 
Workouts will include running, calisthenics, skill work, and obstacle practice. Additionally, running and accessory plans will be posted to the group weekly. You can use these in your individual workouts thru the week.
